If you want to lose weight and get healthy at the same time here are simple tips :-)
1. Don't eat meat and diary products. They make you fat and are bad for your health because they create many different medical conditions like high blood pressure, high blood sugar and cholesterol.Also most modern meat is force grown and contains chemicals.
2. Free range eggs are good and can be done in many different ways and if you want things like burgers and sausages try vegetarian ones. I use Fry's products. For bacon with my eggs I use Sanitarium vegetarian bacon. They really are much the same as meat but better for you.
3. Reduce your fat intake. If you use oil use a good one like extra virgin olive oil, sunflower or safflower oil. Instead of frying everything, try some grills, bakes, steamed or boiled food.
3. Sugar is as bad as fat. Avoid it and don't forget that carbohydrate converts to sugar in your body.
4. Fresh vegetables and fruit every day is a must and if you take the trouble you can create some fantastic, tasty and easy to make dishes.
5. Avoid takeaway foods - many are not nutritious and are fattening.
6. Definitely avoid junk food. Have respect for your body and your health
7. Avoid all processed food. This represents the majority of food sold in modern supermarkets. It is crap, it can give you constipation and it definitely is not good for you.
8. Avoid sugar based soft drinks. If you have to have them, ration them. Try to develop a taste for other healthier drinks.
9. Any exercise helps, especially if you do a bit every day.
10. If you are a computer addict like me be careful you don't sit for too long without walking around the room a bit and stretching your limbs. Constant sitting can bring on a lot of bad health things - un fortunately.
As I write this my "computer mouse" named Toffee is watching everything The computer facinates him. He sits glued to it like he is watching television.
